γ-Al2O3was synthesized and physically characterized by SEM, XRD, BET, IR methods. The synthesized material owns large surface area (244.33m2/g), mean pore size diameter (17.22 nm), and specific pore volume (1.052 cm³/g). The results of adsorption experiment for Pb2+ in water showed that the adsorption equilibrium was attained after 120 minutes at pH = 4 with maximum adsorption loading capacity of 111,11 mg/g. The synthesized adsorbent could be reused by effectively being regenerated with HNO3 1M solution.
